The city that never sleeps

London town – amazing, eccentric, lively, unbelievable, sad, disgusting, lonely. Yeah all of those.

Red mammoths on wheels with bright neon lights, splashing passers-by. The coke dealer on the corner, the mother on crack, the beggar next to the club, the rain passing by.

Just another night, just another sound, fast paced, bright lights – it’s London town.

So happy for some, some their last night. This is London town, another moment, another fright.

Vietnamese, Chinese, Turkish, Bangladesh – another cuisine, another taste, another night, another flesh, some not knowing, another conquest.

Gun fights, gun fingers, fish fingers and laughter. Sometimes it’s so mixed up, sometimes there’s no order.

Graffiti on the walls – one mans thoughts explained, to another its art because its cool in this day and age.

Struggling, striving, gentrification – nobody’s getting  wiser. We move on, we change things – some for the best, some because we have to.

Police parading, meant to be our help when  needed? But is it so, is this the new government order. How are we not living together. We fight among ourselves and not to the new world order? Wake up!!

When will it – ever be for better – better lives for kids, better health, better for the elders?

We are pawns, a chess set is our map, which ones king? I’ll overtake you and what?

The rain, the pain, the mundane and the oblivious – how will we grow? How will we cultivate? Our futures, our minds, our lives don’t you see?

There is madness going on – don’t turn a blind eye on controversy.

Education is paramount to the world we live in, let us grow, let us help each other, lets all articulate.

Let us learn, let us see, let us breath, let us rise. Our brains are amazing – just give it a try.

We need to take a step to make us a better race, its time we have a time when we can sleep in a better place.

London town never sleeps and don’t turn a blind eye, its time we worked together and made sure we don’t die.

Die of ignorance, die a lonely death, I know I want to live my life – it’s gotta be better than this???
